Roman Pletka
Roman Pletka received a diploma in Communication Systems from the Swiss Federal
Institute of Technology (EPF Lausanne) and
the Eurécom Institute (Sophia Antipolis,
France) in 1999 and holds a Ph.D. degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of
Technology (ETH Zürich).
He finished his thesis on adaptive end-to-end quality-of-service guarantees in IP
networks in 2004 under the supervision of
Prof. Dr. Burkhard
Stiller and Prof. Dr. James
P. G. Sterbenz.
After a post-doc at the
IBM Zurich Research Laboratory in Rüschlikon, Switzerland, he
joined AdNovum Informatik AG in Zurich
in 2006. Since 2008 he is a research staff member back at the IBM Zurich
Research Laboratory doing research in storage technologies.
